The Movement Research Performance Journal Issue #57 - Work

Movement Research Performance Journal Issue 57 takes up the keyword "work" — interrogating the condition of labor in dance and performance, what it means to have a body on which work is or isn't projected, and how the ethos of collective practice relates to or obscures the lived experience of making art while balancing a survival job. Structured around three Contributing Editors — nora chipaumire, Jerron Herman, and Alex Rodabaugh — the issue reflects not only on labor as theme but on the editorial and administrative labor the journal itself asks of artists, questioning how a publication on and by artists must adapt in an era of content creation in overdrive.
